13 July 2025 – UNITY RUN 2025: Satu Hati Sejuta Langkah 2025 organized by the Bandar Ilmu Putra Mahkota Executive Committee through the Economic Sector, brought together over 370 participants from diverse backgrounds to celebrate unity and promote a healthy lifestyle.

The initiative aims to strengthen the spirit of unity and national integration among Malaysia’s multicultural society through healthy activities, while reflecting the vision of Bandar Ilmu Putra Mahkota as a symbol of holistic progress and community harmony in Selangor. The event was officiated by YAD Senator Dato’ Setia Haji Salehuddin bin Saidin, Chairman of MAIS, and attended by representatives from UPEN, MAIS, UIS, and the local community.

The event was held in collaboration with UIS Faculty of Economics, Accounting and Management, IRCIEF, and Yayasan KUIS, with sponsorship from Kumpulan Semesta Sdn. Bhd. (KSSB). 

21 March 2025 – Universiti Islam Selangor (UIS) hosted the Iftar with Senior Citizens, People with Disabilities (PWDs), and Multi-Faith Communities at the Mohd Adanan Isman Auditorium, UIS. The event, officiated by UIS Vice-Chancellor Dato’ Professor Dr. Mohd Farid Ravi Abdullah, gathered over 500 attendees, including state officials, UIS staff and community representatives.

The program aimed to promote unity, compassion, and inclusivity among diverse communities through shared Ramadan blessings. Guests included 100 senior citizens and PWDs who received festive contributions sponsored by Bank Simpanan Nasional, Synchronetwork Sdn. Bhd., IRCIEF-UIS, and the local community.

In his address, Dato’ Professor Dr. Mohd Farid Ravi highlighted UIS’s commitment in fostering an inclusive and harmonious society, where care for the vulnerable reflects both social and moral responsibility. The evening concluded with an iftar and Maghrib prayer at Masjid Al-Azhar UIS.

On February 12, 2023, The Islamic University of Selangor (UIS) organized the 2nd Penyayang Fun Run program, which attracted more than 200 participants, including persons with disabilities, UIS staff, and residents from the surrounding areas.

The UIS Rector, Prof. Madya Dato’ Dr. Mohd Farid Ravi bin Abdullah, launched two run categories, a 5KM run for the general public and a 1KM run for individuals with special needs.

The main goal of this event was to raise public awareness about the importance of understanding the needs of individuals with disabilities and autism and to express UIS’s full support for this group through its recently signed Inclusive Policy.

Majlis Iftar bersama Kanak-Kanak Istimewa daripada Persatuan Kanak-Kanak Istimewa Bangi (PKIB) pada 25 Mei 2019 (sabtu) . Majlis ini adalah hasil kerjasama bersama Finance Accreditation Agency(FAA) dan Masjid Al-Azhar,KUIS.

More than 400 participants took part in the Fun Run Caring program which took place at the International Islamic University College Selangor (KUIS) on 1 December 2018.
The program, jointly organized by International Research Centre of Islamic Economics and Finance (IRCIEF), Faculty of Economics and Muamalah, Sports and Recreation Club, KUIS, Persatuan Kanak-kanak Istimewa Bangi (PKIB) and Majlis Agama Islam Selangor (MAIS), is aimed at strengthening relationships as well as collecting funds to donate to PKIB.

The annual event was graced by the presence of the KUIS Rector, Prof. Datuk Dr. Ab. Halim Tamuri, Private Secretary for the Ministry at Prime Minister’s Department (Agama), and famous preacher who is also KUIS lecturer, Ustaz Don Daniyal Don Biyajid.

In addition to the run, the program which started at 7am to 11am was filled with various activities including the mock check and the lucky draw.
